  • Well, hello!

My name is Meggan Whitsitt, and I'm a photographer in Enid, Oklahoma. I've been shooting since 2009, and I have the most amazing client/friends in the world! I would love to meet you... so check out my most recent work (here on the blog), then click the CONTACT button!

I LOVE shooting newborns and kids... but then there are seniors and families... AND engagements/bridals/weddings... gosh. I can't pick a favorite! I've even done pet photoshoots.

    Best job ever.

I'd love to be your photographer/friend!

Days 5 and 6:  From a high angle. From a low angle.

Ok, ok… I missed a day.

BUT… it was for a good reason!

Yesterday was Katie’s wedding.  I’ve known her since before she was even born. Her big sister is one of my

best friends from high-school, and I was so grateful to get to be a part of her big day!

AND, I was able to fulfill yesterday and today’s challenge all in one photographic event.  :)

From a high angle…

day 5-1

The wedding rings on Katie’s “wedding shoes.”  : )

And from a low angle…

day 6-1

Beautiful Katie and her gorgeous bridesmaids’ country-inspired handmade bouquets!  Aren’t they pretty?

Yesterday was a challenging day when it came to photography.

Katie and Tyler got married in the afternoon in Katie’s parents’ backyard…

in full-blown sunlight.

Not a great thing in the typical photographer’s mind… shade, shade, shade. Must have shade.

However, the temperature was perfect and the wind calmed down just before ceremony time.

It was beautiful in every way!

I absolutely love shooting small-town weddings.  Especially ones in my hometown (Okarche, OK- for those who don’t know).

Everyone knows everyone, and, by the end of the night, what you have is one big happy party.

I love getting to go back and catch up with everyone… and it’s my JOB.

I’m super blessed to get to do what I do!

Thank you, Katie and Tyler!!  I’m wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness!

Day 4:  Something green.

Lucky three-leaf clover weed thingy?

Day 4-1

I can’t lie.  This one was a little rushed.  I’m headed out the door to drive to Okarche for an engagement session.

I threw the macro on my camera, went out into the front yard, realized that the only thing green right now is this weed patch,

laid on my belly and took this picture.

A few people (who, I’m sure, saw me) drove by… oh well.

I have to go!  Maybe I’ll share a shot or two from my session tonight.  : )

Day 3:  Clouds.

There wasn’t a cloud in the sky.  Every time I looked out the window today… clear blue sky.

I started to get nervous for today’s challenge.

I wish I could demonstrate the excited squeal I made when I got in my car after my session tonight.  Should’ve videoed it for you.

EEEEEAAK! Clouds!!!  And the pretty ones that have the sun rays beaming through!

I thought it would be fun to show you a little Photoshop magic tonight.

day 3 1 new

day 3 2
Day 3 3

I think the edited version of the one below is my favorite.  : )

day 3 4

So, I called it a day after the shots above…

I went to run some errands, then noticed an orange glow out west of town.

I found this.

day 3 5
day 3 6

God is SO good.   And not just because he gave me some clouds so I didn’t fail my challenge today…

I’m curious… do you prefer the edited, or the unedited shots?
